The first trailer for I Am Not Okay With This is here, and it’s bound to get you excited to check out the brand new series when it premieres on Netflix later this week!

Charles Forsman’s graphic novel, I Am Not Okay With This, is officially getting the adaptation treatment over at Netflix and now, you can watch the first trailer for the upcoming YA series to see what’s in store for you when the show officially premieres.

The series is described as “an irreverent origin story that follows a teenage girl who’s navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken deep within her.”

The first trailer for the show definitely gives viewers a great taste of all of the above.

Fans of director Andy Muschietti’s It adaptation may recognize actress Sophia Lillis from the hit Stephen King adaptation, who stars as Sydney in I Am Not Okay With This.

Lillis isn’t the only notable name attached to the forthcoming adaptation— in fact, the series has some pretty big names attached behind the camera as well.

In addition to hailing from 21 Laps Entertainment— the same company behind Netflix juggernaut, Stranger ThingsI Am Not Okay With This is also being executive produced and directed by Jonathan Entwisle.

Meanwhile, fans of Netflix and Channel 4’s The End of the F**ing World will undoubtedly already be familiar with Entwisle’s work as he served as co-creator on the dark comedy. Entwisle, in turn, teamed with Christy Hall, who wrote the script for the graphic novel adaptation.

All seven episodes of I Am Not Okay With This’s first season are set to be available via Netflix on February 26.
