The 86th Academy Awards are nearly here, and to help you enjoy the show we’ve created a fun Oscars drinking game!
The biggest night in the film calendar is here again, as the 86th Academy Awards celebrate the last year in motion pictures with Ellen DeGeneres returning to host the proceedings. If you’re holding an Oscars party this weekend, we’ve got a great drinking game for you and your friends to play. Whether you’re a film fan, an A-List star gazer or red carpet fashionista, you’ll have plenty of reason to drink!
To play our drinking game, you’ll need two types of beverages: something to gulp (and down), and something to take a shot of. Before the awards start, you’ll need to write down a list of your predictions for every category. And think on them carefully, because you could end up consuming a lot of liquid!
Once you’ve done all of your preparation, you’re ready to start! Here are the rules…
Take a drink…
Every time Meryl Streep is mentioned.
Every time Harvey Weinstein is mentioned.
If Jennifer Lawrence mentions food on the red carpet (or pulls a funny face at any time).
Whenever a word is bleeped.
Whenever a name is mispronounced.
Every time Ryan Seacrest says “Who are you wearing?”
Whenever someone makes fun of Sandra Bullock in Gravity.
Take a shot…
Every time Ellen dances (have two if she twerks).
Whenever an acceptance speech is rudely and awkwardly cut short by the Academy.
If someone “didn’t have a speech prepared.”
Every time one of your predictions is wrong.
If an otherwise attractive actor turns up sporting wild facial hair.
Every time an auto-cue joke bombs.
Finish your drink….
If Jennifer Lawrence trips over her dress.
If Gravity doesn’t win the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
If Leonardo DiCaprio finally wins Best Actor.
If every single prediction you made was wrong.
If somebody makes fun of Benedict Cumberbatch’s last name.
If Giuliana Rancic forces someone to stick their hand in the mani cam.
