Why sudden death?

It’s a new rule we’ve created for this version of BattleShips: When a poll closes with less than a 250 vote margin, it’s time to see who the real winner is! In the past BattleShips we’ve had polls close with less than a 200, 100, and even 21 vote margin, which means that it really could’ve gone either way if it had been up for ten extra minutes! Sudden death will help distinguish the lucky fans from the more passionate fandom.
