This week’s Hypable Honors go to an unlikely hero that we can’t help but cheer on, and a woman that actually does it all week in and week out.

As Game of Thrones winds its season down (hopefully by giving us the most incredible episodes yet), we can’t help but show them a little more love, so the latest goes to a very solid cast member who has always been the underdog, but truly stepped out of the shadows this week.

We also can’t avoid bestowing our highest honor upon a lady so deserving, she could probably take it every single week she graces our screens. We managed to hold off til now, but make no mistake that she is always on our minds.

Hypable Honors

Show: ‘Game of Thrones’

Actor: John Bradley

Samwell Tarly entered the scene on Game of Thrones as the most pathetic of the Night’s Watch’s men, but he has come a long way since that day. He has adventured north of the Wall, fought White Walkers, protected innocent women and children, and stood tall when lesser men (eh hem, Janos Slynt, eh hem) cowered in fear.

“The Watchers on the Wall” was a HUGE episode for Sam, what with his kissing Gilly, watching Pyp die in his arms, and doing everything in his power to be an aid in battle. He kissed, he killed, he kept his word, and now we know that no matter what state he may have arrived at the Wall in, he is now among the Night’s Watch’s bravest.

Show: ‘Orphan Black’

Actor: Tatiana Maslany

It’s a wonder that we haven’t included Tatiana Maslany in Hypable Honors before now, but we knew we were waiting for the right episode. “Variable and Full of Perturbation” was the one! In it not only was Tatiana amazing, once again, in portraying several people in one hour, but she out did herself with her performance of Tony, the FTM transgender clone. As we watched the episode unfold we couldn’t believe that Tony was played by Maslany, and we love her ability to completely persuade us into thinking that this whole clone thing is legit.

Otherwise Noteworthy

Movie: ’22 Jump Street’

Actor: Ice Cube

We already know what you’re thinking. Seriously. Ice Cube? But yes. 22 Jump Street would not have worked as well as it did without the dry, wise-ass captain in charge of the flourishing, then failing Jump Street unit.

Whether he’s berating Schmidt and Jenko for not actually investigating the case they’re supposed to be, or holding back the homicidal thoughts while Jenko dances around the Jump Street offices rubbing salt in an open wound, Captain Dickson is the glue that holds the craziness together.

Who do you think gave us the best performances this week?
