Boundless by Cynthia Hand is the epic conclusion to her bestselling series Unearthly. This book has something for everyone including a gut-wrenching ending that will keep you turning the pages late into the night.

Boundless picks up where Hallow left off with Clara’s world in complete disarray. She had made choices to protect the ones she loves the most but they weren’t easy. Now back in California Clara must figure out her purpose and decide what she really wants. With Christian in tow Clara must make her way in a world that is challenging and new all while trying to forget the boy she left in Wyoming for his own good. The love triangle aspect of the story is resolved and I suggest having a box of tissues handy as Hand doesn’t hold back. She delivers a gut-wrenching storyline that is beautifully, achingly written.

The story as a whole is an amazing conclusion to a strong series. Hand manages to weave a finale that is exciting and completely unpredictable, leaving the reader constantly flipping the pages. The characters are strong individuals and you can see the growth they have made over the course of the series. The story is well-paced giving the reader a healthy dose of action sequences mixed with quiet moments that allow you to see the characters’ vulnerabilities and inner strength.

Cynthia Hand has crafted a truly perfect ending to this series. Unafraid to take the story where it needs to go, Hand adeptly navigates her characters through life-and-death situations and heartbreak.
