Southern California natives, White Arrows, have a unique sound all on their own. But if you ask the band to describe what genre their music falls into, they’ll be the first to tell you that it’s impossible to find just one blanket term for the music they create.

“They’re dance-able songs, but they draw from very different places,” says drummer Henry Church.

According to Church, this is the reason why “the spectrum of the sub-genere tends to get wide,” whether you’re sampling the band’s first EP- Fireworks of the Sea or their latest full length album, Dry Land Is Not a Myth.

White Arrow’s debut album, Dry Land Is Not a Myth, which dropped in June of last year, is a mix of electronic indie rock and psychedelic pop. Standout ethereal synth sequences and toe tapping drum beats coupled with smooth guitar riffs and keyboard melodies in the undertones make for a truly enjoyable listening experience.

We recently sat down with three of White Arrows’ band members  during their tour stop in Oakland, Calif.
