Fans of the Amazon Original series, Hunters can now officially look forward to getting a season 2 of the hit thriller!

Hunters debuted to critical acclaim when the conspiracy thriller starring Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, and Jerrika Hinton first hit Amazon Prime back on February 21. Now, fans of the series can rest easy knowing there are, indeed, more episodes coming down the pipeline.

In a press release sent out on Monday (August 3), Amazon Studios announced that they have officially renewed Hunters for a season 2.

Created by David Weil and executive produced by Academy Award winner Jordan Peele, the hit series is set in 1977 and follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in New York City. After discovering that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the United States, the group sets out to hunt them down before their nefarious plans succeed.

In a statement announcing the good news, creator David Weil spoke of looking forward to bringing audiences yet another thrilling season of the series. In addition, the creator also hinted at the fact that all of our favorite cast members would in fact be returning for the series’ second season.

“I am beyond grateful to [Head of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke] and the Amazon family for their continued extraordinary support of Hunters,” said Weil. “Alongside our magnificent cast, incredible crew, and brilliant writers and producers, I am more eager than ever to share the next chapter of the Hunters saga with the world.”

Meanwhile, Salke said: “David Weil’s bold vision and fearless imagination powered a thrilling, twisty, action-packed first season that engaged Prime Video customers around the world. We are thrilled that David, Jordan and the Hunters will be back with us for more.”

Currently, there’s no word yet on when we can expect Hunters season 2 to debut on Amazon Prime.
