New photos from the set of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay depict Jennifer Lawrence in the role of Katniss as peacekeepers and Capitol citizens clash.

The Daily Mail has obtained photos of sequences being shot outdoors against a giant green screen in Atlanta, Georgia, where the series has been primarily filming since Catching Fire.

According to the report, the scene in the photos depicts Katniss “with a baying crowd at her feet as she held onto the side of black military vehicle.”

One photo shows director Francis Lawrence stepping onto a ladder to give Jennifer a little direction in between takes. In a couple other photos we see Capitol residents and peacekeepers pushing back at one another against a gate.

If we had to guess, we’d say that this scene takes place in Mockingjay, Part 2 given the fact that Katniss is dealing with Capitol residents. This may be around the time that Katniss is inching closer to her takedown of President Snow.

Filming on Mockingjay began last year before the cast and crew took a break to promote Catching Fire. Part 1 of the finale will hit theaters November 2014, while Part 2 will open in November 2015.

The only piece of promotional material we’ve seen from the next Hunger Games film so far is this beautiful poster depicting the iconic mockingjay with its wings spread. We had our first glimpse at the bird in this position at the end of the Catching Fire movie.
