Ahead of an event at the Cannes Film Festival today, Lionsgate has unveiled a new The Hunger Games: Catching Fire poster on their Instagram account.

Over the past few days the newly opened Hunger Games Instagram profile had been teasing a reveal being made today, May 14.

Check out the new Catching Fire poster below. It is a striking photo of Katniss on a cliff with the caption “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.”

The quote comes from the book of the same name by Suzanne Collins. The cloud formation behind Katniss definitely looks like a Mockingjay – a persistent symbol throughout the books and films. Katniss’ wedding dress in her character portrait released earlier this year was also subtly displaying the shape of a Mockingjay.

We wouldn’t mind a similar version of this poster with Peeta on a cliff, but since the book’s narration is from Katniss’ perspective, a poster as epic as this one may not be likely. Nonetheless, we’ll bet that The Hunger Games Instagram will unveil many more first looks in the coming months.

We’ll pass along the high-res version of the poster once it’s released by the studio.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens in theaters November 22. Exactly one month ago, the film’s first trailer debuted with a dark feel and an exciting look at Katniss and Peeta’s struggle against President Snow.
