The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Josh Hutcherson is very excited about the highly-anticipated sequel.

Appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show to discuss an upcoming celebrity basketball game, the actor who stars as Peeta was asked about what’s new with Catching Fire as opposed to last year’s movie The Hunger Games.

“On this movie the story kind of opens up a lot,” he said. “I think there’s a lot more interesting plots that start to develop. Everything thickens. We up the overall feel of the movie. We kept the same idea of the first with the world, but we bumped it up a bit and made it more immersive. We stay true to the book as always.”

The actor also noted the addition of numerous cast members including Philip Seymour Hoffman.

While he couldn’t reveal much about what happens in the movie (so as to not spoil those who haven’t read the book, we suppose), Seacrest did try to learn more about Katniss and Peeta’s relationship. Hutcherson said their romantic journey will “absolutely” be included.

“I can’t divulge any kind of plot details, but it’s up and down. Katniss and Peeta’s relationship is very complicated and there are a lot of things that have to be worked out. It’s good. People will be very very satisfied with the relationship.”

Seacrest asked Hutcherson if it’s exciting kissing co-star Jennifer Lawrence who plays Katniss. “I’d say there’s a natural stirring that happens in your body. If you’re in the moment, you’re in the scene, whatever naturally happens is what’s supposed to happen.”

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens in theaters November 22.
