Catching Fire hits IMAX screens the same day as everywhere else, and a poster for the film’s big BIG screen release diverts from the other marketing material with a remarkable design.

The IMAX Catching Fire poster was inspired by the work of Kris Kuksi who, in the words of Guillermo Del Toro, “obsessively arranges characters and architecture in asymmetric compositions with an exquisite sense of drama.”

Kuksi reportedly approved of this artwork for Catching Fire even though he didn’t personally create it. The poster debuted on Badass Digest today. Take a look for yourself, and click to see it full size!:

There’s a lot to look at in the poster. “We burn to believe” engraved in stone, the Mockingjay, President Snow’s eyes covered, a train, many Peacekeepers, a high-speed train, and the cornucopia. What else do you see? Also, where can we purchase this?

See Kuksi’s work on his official site to get a better understanding of where the inspiration for the poster came from.

If you see Catching Fire in IMAX, you’ll be in for a treat. The film screen in your theater will open into a wider view when the tournament begins as to show you that Katniss has a new level of perspective as she enters the new world to compete against her fellow Quarter Quell tributes.

Catching Fire arrives in theaters November 22, but screenings in many theaters begin as early as 8 p.m. on November 21. Purchase your tickets now to secure the best seats in what will inevitably be packed theaters!

Promotional art for the film has been on point for this Hunger Games sequel. Just yesterday we shared with you outtake marketing material which features Katniss engulfed in flames. Much of the promotional artwork going up in cities and movie theaters depicts Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick.

The final Catching Fire trailer debuted Sunday during the World Series with lots of new footage. The first television commercial also introduced a bunch of new clips and was equally emotional.
