The upcoming Veronica Mars revival at Hulu has just added a familiar face to its cast!

According to TV Line, Veronica Mars alum Ryan Devlin is officially returning to reprise his role of Mercer for the upcoming revival.

Devlin himself took to Instagram to tease his involvement on the series.

The actor posted a photo of what looks to be his trailer on set with the name tag “Mercer” placed just below the window.

“Hi old friend,” wrote the actor in his caption.

For those who need a bit of a refresher, Mercer was the college radio DJ who turned out to be the man behind a series of rapes that took place on Hearst College campus. Mercer was especially notorious for shaving the heads of his victims and keeping the locks of their hair.

Devlin joins fellow Veronica Mars returning last members Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, and Jason Dohring, all of whom have signed on to partake in the revival.

In addition, we learned earlier this year that American Vandal alumn Tyler Alvarez had also joined the cast of the Hulu revival as a member of the Pacific Coast Highway biker gang.

The upcoming eight-episode revival is set to focus on a series of murders in the town of Neptune. This time around Veronica will be on the case as she investigates a string of murders targeting spring breakers who’ve come to the town of Neptune looking to have a good time.

The mystery will find the town divided between the working class, who relies on tourism to make a living, and Neptune’s elite, who would rather keep spring breakers out.

Hulu’s Veronica Mars revival is set to premiere sometime in 2019.
