Hugh Jackman may not be done with Wolverine after all: the actor has indicated that he’ll be reprising the role in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

Earlier this year, Hugh Jackman had us wondering whether James Marigold’s Wolverine 3 (which will be released in 2017) would be his last appearance as the popular character.

But speaking to MTV, Jackman comments on the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, which would take place in the alternate timeline set up in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The movie will follow the First Class of mutants: Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, and newcomers Storm, Cyclops and Jean Grey (who will be played by younger actors).

Jackman has appeared in every one of the seven X-Men movies so far, and it would be remiss of him to miss a cameo in Apocalypse.

And certainly it seems like an appearance is on the table. “I have been speaking to the guys, and I’m not at liberty to tell exactly what’s going on,” Jackman tells Josh Horowitz. “There are some very exciting things about integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie. There’s some really cool things going on.”
