It’s finally been announced that Howie Mandel will be back for America’s Got Talent season 8.

Howie Mandel has always said that he’d love to be back for America’s Got Talent season 8, and it’s finally a done deal. After watching fellow season 7 AGT judge Howard Stern get the offer to return for season 8, Mandel was finally offered his job back as well. Stern signed on in early December, and Mandel’s signing didn’t come until two months later.

America’s Got Talent is still searching for its third judge, but there’s been no real evidence on who that will be. Now that Mandel is back, it should be expected that a lady will fill that role. It has been rumored that Rosie O’Donnell or Carmen Electra could join, but for now those are just rumors. An announcement will have to come sooner rather than later, though. The first round of auditions with the judges present will take place in New Orleans on March 8.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Mandel talked about how excited he is to be back:

I’m doing my fourth season of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ I’m thrilled to be back. This is my fourth year [and I think the talent] has been getting better and better every year.

Are you happy to see Howie Mandel return to ‘America’s Got Talent’?
