Wanna make a Snapchat filter for a special someone’s birthday, wedding, or any other type of celebration? The app is making it very easy to create your own filter.

In February, Snapchat launched a feature that would let users pay to upload their own filters to the app. The price of your filter is determined by the size of the area you want the filter to be activated in, and for how long you want it to run.

The tool makes it possible to add an extra element of fun to your special day, but the problem was that you needed some Photoshop skills. Now, Snapchat is making it easy for anyone to create a great looking filter.

Snapchat’s Geofilters website now lets you select from a variety of templates themed around birthdays, wedding, and general celebrations. Each of the templates lets you write in a person’s name, a phrase, a particular date, etc. so the template feels personal.

Snapchat also lets you change the color, font size, and position of the custom text that you’re entering, further letting you make the filter yours.

Templates cost as little as $5. The price increases dramatically as you expand the geographical space you want the filter to appear in.

Snapchat still lets you upload your own artwork if you have some good Photoshop skills. They have several restrictions — for example, you can’t use a real photograph in a filter.

How soon until we can create our own lenses? I want to be able to wear a bride or groom’s face at their own wedding. Or have my voice transformed into a person’s whose birthday I’m celebrating. Or turn my head into a 3D Hypable logo.
