In the latest “How It Should Have Ended” video, everything that was wrong with The Lego Movie is fixed.

The Lego Movie hit theaters back in February and it was a huge hit. Not only was it a massive critical success (it has a very impressive 96% approval rating on the movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes), but it brought in nearly $500 million at the worldwide box office, a very good number for a first in a franshise animated movie.

The popular YouTube channel “How It Should Have Ended” has put together another great alternate ending, this time pointing out a big flaw in The Lego Movie that would have changed everything.

Check it out:

The “How It Should Have Ended” team did an impressive job with their stop motion animation. It’s barely distinguishable from the animation in the actual The Lego Movie footage and very different from their usual 2D animation.

Batman and Superman are “How It Should Have Ended” regulars, so it’s funny to see their Lego counterparts in this short. It really doesn’t make much sense that the majority of the superheroes in the movie would have been essentially useless. They are the characters with powers, and this short shows how they should have actually been incorporated.

Still, The Lego Movie was a ton of fun, and we kind of prefer the way it is. Plus, the film does a pretty good job of explaining why it actually worked out the way it did. For those who haven’t seen it, that’s all we’ll say.

The Lego Movie 2 is already in the works. The sequel will hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
