After eight seasons on air, the cast and crew of How I Met Your Mother will be heading to the San Diego Comic-Con for the first time to promote the ninth and final season.

How I Met Your Mother is one of 11 shows that 20th Century Fox will be showcasing at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 20. How I Met Your Mother has long-inspired fanatical devotion from its viewers but this marks the first time the cast and crew will be making an appearance at Comic-Con – the mecca for devoted fans.

Per the FOX release:

For the first time ever, the hit sitcom visits Comic-Con to kick off its final season with an exclusive look at the show and a panel featuring Josh Radnor (Happythankyoumoreplease), Cobie Smulders (The Avengers), Neil Patrick Harris (Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog) and Alyson Hannigan (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and executive producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Pamela Fryman.

Though not mentioned in FOX’s statement, Jason Segel has been confirmed to be at the Con per Entertainment Weekly and TV Line.

The cast and crew will no doubt not run out of plot points to talk about or questions to answer on the heels of the eponymous mother’s reveal and the news that season nine will cover Barney and Robin’s wedding weekend.
