How I Met Your Mother is doing its first ever hour-long episode this year to celebrate the holiday season!
One of the How I Met Your Mother showrunners, Craig Thomas, tweeted about the special episode, which will air on December 17:
Not sure this is public knowledge yet, but December 17, #himym is doing its first ever HOUR-LONG holiday ep. Some really big crap happens!

This will be the 11th episode of season 8, and we can only speculate about the “really big crap” which goes down! Will this be the episode where Barney and Robin get engaged?

What do you think How I Met Your Mother will be able to do with an entire hour at their disposal? We also wonder how emotional it’s going to get; considering the very non-sitcom-like bombshells they threw at us last season, we’re a little worried!
