Actress Ellen D. Williams, who has seemingly swept away Barney on How I Met Your Mother, has spoken in a new interview about tonight’s episode!

Tonight’s episode of How I Met Your Mother is a two-part Christmas special entitled “The Final Page,” and with both Seth Green as a guest star and the hinting about an important Barney/Robin development, it looks set to be a really big episode!

Some of the highlights include Williams’ description of why Patrice likes Robin so much. She explains that, “For Patrice there is just something about Robin that she really likes and admires. And even when Robin yells at her it just kind of rolls off Patrice’s back.”

Describing Patrice, Williams says that, “I knew she was someone who was excited and wanted the best for others. I knew that she was someone who always saw the good in people and was excited about their accomplishments.” Will that play into the whole Robin/Barney/Patrice situation?

She also reveals that when she first auditioned for the role, Williams expected it to be a one-line guest role, but lucky for her (and us!), “They liked what I did so much that they had said they wanted to bring me back.”
