Next Monday’s promo for How I Met Your Mother has been released, and, surprisingly, Jeanette looks like she’s taking the break up…well?

In “Weekend at Barney’s,” How I Met Your Mother pays tribute to the 1989 classic comedy film, Weekend at Bernie’s.

In the photos we revealed on Thursday, it looks like Ted, Marshall and Barney are going all out for this play from the previously assumed destroyed playbook (we wonder what Robin will have to say about this!).

So with Barney and Robin tying the knot soon, and Marshall long since married to Lily, it seems Ted is the one aiming to hook up? But… isn’t he in a frightening relationship with the obsessive Jeanette?

Whilst CBS haven’t given us a sneak peek at the Weekend at Bernie’s spoof, this one definitely confirms that things are finito for Jeanette and Ted. The photos also indicate that the true death of the playbook is Jeanette’s doing, so is that the final nail in the coffin for Ted’s alleged final fling before the mother?

A couple of things to note though… A key to the house? Ted’s grandmother’s ring? Which she was buried with? Looks like Ted will be getting off lightly with a burnt down flat if those are the lengths crazy stalker Jeanette goes to to get a hold of a man!
