A second silent House of Cards season 2 teaser depicts Frank Underwood simply pulling on a rubber band.

This latest teaser video for House of Cards season 2 is in black and white and depicts Frank kicking back in his office chair with the office item. Watch below:

If you are to overanalyze this teaser, you can conclude that the rubber band is symbolic of the back-and-forth games that Frank plays with people in Washington D.C. as he plots his rise to power and screws over anyone in his path. When you pull at Frank, he snaps back and hurts you.

The video is similar in style (black and white, silent) to one depicting Frank’s wife Claire in which she smokes a cigarette.

Speaking recently in a Reddit AMA, series creator Beau Willimon said that many more of these videos which he describes as “cinemagraphs” are in the pipeline.

In related news, a recently released poster depicts the Washington Monument presented as a phallic object.

The synopsis for House of Cards season 2 reads, “Francis (Spacey) and Claire (Wright) Underwood continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts. Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara, “American Horror Story”), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis’s former paramour, is inching closer to the truth about his crimes. President Walker’s (Michel Gill, “The Good Wife”) billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney, “Southland”) demands that Francis reciprocate political favors or face retribution. And Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis’s once private existence. The Underwood’s must overcome these dangers — past and present — to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake.”
