The end is near for House of Cards, and the new teaser for the final season shows how intense Claire Underwood’s presidency will be.

House of Cards is at its sixth and final season, and while the show has previously primarily followed the political exploits of Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood, it’s a new era. President Claire Underwood is here, and she is not a political leader to be trifled with.

While Claire’s first 100 days as president were difficult, as she puts it, she isn’t about to let herself be pushed around by the old guard in Washington. After losing her husband–a loss that she doesn’t seem terribly broken up about, and we can’t totally blame her–Claire finds herself walking the line between teaming up and falling in line with those Frank Underwood promised to ally with, and carving her own path to power.

As Claire puts it in the trailer, “the age of the middle-aged white man is over,” and she isn’t stopping until she gets exactly what she wants. Season 5 of House of Cards ended with Claire telling us that it was her turn now, and from the looks of this trailer, she’s wasting no time and suffering no fools to grab as much power as she can as quickly as she can.

The final season of House of Cards looks like it will be an explosive one, and now that Claire is finally being given the spotlight, it seems that everything we thought we knew will be totally turned on its head. As she says in the trailer, “Whatever Frances told you the last five years? Don’t believe a word of it.” It’s unclear if this is just a comment made to her constituents during a press conference or a fourth-wall-breaking moment (or a bit of both), but either way, it’s an ominous enough warning that everything we thought we knew is about to change.

House of Cards isn’t about to go quietly into its final season, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for us in the last chapter of the Underwoods’ story. The world is about to change forever thanks to President Claire Underwood, and we are here to watch whatever is about to go down.

House of Cards premieres on Netflix on November 2.
