If the goal is to make the Horrible Bosses bosses even more horrible, who better to be one of them than a guy who has proved himself as a scary Nazi?

Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pine is joining Horrible Bosses 2, but Christoph Waltz has passed on the role.

Deadline is reporting that New Line has their eyes on Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine to join Horrible Bosses 2 as a father and son boss duo.

Deadline’s sources say that while New Line wants them both, Waltz is unlikely to be in it because of his busy schedule. Chris Pine might be able to do the movie, and could wind up doing it without Waltz. It’s currently unclear if it would remain a father son duo or who could potentially “replace” Waltz.

We certainly hope Waltz will be able to do the film as he’s a fantastic actor. His presence would be much appreciated. On the other hand, it’s a bit more exciting to see Pine rumored for a villain role than it is for Waltz. Waltz has played countless villains, but it would be interesting to Pine in this sort of role, a stark difference from what he’s typically done.

Waltz and Pine both have busy schedules ahead of them. Waltz will have roles in The Zero Theorem, Muppets Most Wanted, Tim Burton’s Big Eyes, Mike Newell’s Reykjavik, and Stephen Gaghan’s Candy Store. Pine will be in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Rob Marshall’s Into the Woods, and Joe Carnahan’s Stretch.

The Horrible Bosses sequel will see stars Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, and Charlie Day return. Sean Anders will direct.
