What may have started out as a much-ridiculed plot twist has morphed into one of the most valuable and motivating parts of The Originals. Hope Mikaelson, here’s why we appreciate you.
Let’s face it, we were all majorly skeptical of the pregnancy storyline when Hayley turned up in the spin off pilot totally knocked up with Klaus’ baby. We assumed that it would be just a plot device, and that the storyline would either fizzle and fade, or result in one big complication and then move on.
Well, neither of those things happened. Instead, there is a very real baby, alive and well after a season-long, not-so-rushed pregnancy, and she continues to be one of the most intriguing parts of this whole family-driven drama.
