Whether you loved, hated or just-okayed Rogue One, there’s no denying that the movie stands apart from the rest of the Star Wars story.
As the Screen Junkies point out, Rogue One ultimately exists to fill in a plot hole, bringing in a slew of characters that are hardly allowed to develop personalities and are then promptly dismissed from the narrative.
