Quinn is more motivated than ever to take down Haqqani on Homeland season 4 after what the terrorist did to the embassy, but is our CIA agent putting himself in serious danger?

Quinn, played by Rupert Friend, has been one of the all-stars in recent episodes of Homeland. This past Sunday’s episode may’ve been one of his greatest yet when he scared off Haqqani and his men after they penetrated the embassy. But he didn’t stop there: Quinn decided to make Fahrad his prisoner.

We don’t yet know if Quinn’s torturing techniques (using several constructions tools that are sure to be extremely painful) will force Fahrad to share what he knows about Haqqani’s location.

The million dollar question: Is Fahrad willing to die before he helps America? The answer is probably a “yes”. Remember, earlier this season Fahrad was willing to take down Saul in an airport which proved his commitment to Haaqqani.

Whether the torturing works or not, previews for this Sunday’s new episode indicate that Quinn is definitely making some sort of progress on his mission to track down Haqqani. And honestly, it looks like Haqqani isn’t trying too hard to hide. Look, he’s just out in the streets basking in all of the attention:

Other photos from Homeland season 4, episode 11 depict Quinn dressed as a member of the military (above). Meanwhile, a trailer for the episode shows Carrie trying to stop Quinn from putting himself in danger. Unsurprisingly, he’s really pissed that Carrie’s getting in the way. It sounds like he’ll stop at nothing in order to track down Haqqani:

Earlier this season Quinn was hung up on Carrie, but his feelings seem to be less of a priority for him at the moment. If he cares about Carrie so much, why is he risking both of their lives by staying in Pakistan? He could’ve went back to America with Lockhart, Saul, and Martha so that they could regroup and come up with a new plan. This would’ve allowed other Americans to put themselves in danger when capturing Haqqani.

The problem is that Quinn is livid over what happened. “There was a taliban flag waving over my head. I can’t let that stand,” Quinn tells an unknown receiver in the above trailer.

He appears to be going so far as to create a bomb that he places in a bag. Quinn, you’re too good of a character. Don’t sacrifice yourself!

We’re hoping that Quinn’s life isn’t about to come to an end. We’ve lost too many great characters this season, and Quinn is kicking more ass than ever. Losing him would be a major detriment to the show.

Will Quinn going rogue help the country or make things worse?

The next Homeland – season 4’s penultimate episode – airs this Sunday, December 14 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on Showtime.
