Now that he’s gone rogue, Quinn will visit a former flame for some help in tracking down Haqqani on Homeland season 4, episode 11.

The penultimate episode of Homeland season 4 airs this Sunday, and luckily for fans of the series, Showtime has released a clip from the upcoming episode.

This scene is particularly interesting because Quinn is meeting with a new character – perhaps someone from the German embassy – played by actress Nina Ross. Quinn is hoping that this character can use the phones he took off of Fahrad and another Haqqani associate to figure out where the other devices are.

Watch the clip from Homeland season 4, episode 11 below:

Last week we saw Quinn grab Fahrad and bring him into a room where he planned to execute some torture techniques. This clip would seem to suggest that Fahrad isn’t willing to give Quinn any information concerning Haqqani’s whereabouts, if the CIA agent’s only lead is a cell phone.

The clip concludes with the new character A) telling Quinn to take a shower and B) suggesting that they used to be romantically involved. Could this be a new romance for Quinn heading into season 5? Poor Quinn hasn’t made much progress on Carrie this season despite strong hints for viewers early in season 4. Maybe he’s beginning to move on.

Quinn is currently operating on his own, although a trailer for episode 11 shows that Carrie is going to intervene in some fashion. Quinn won’t be happy because he is hard set on taking down Haqqani. And then, maybe, he will be ready to return to the United States so everyone can regroup.

The next new episode of Homeland airs Sunday, December 14 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on Showtime. The final episode of season 4 airs the following Sunday, December 21.
