Showtime has released the Homeland season 3 poster in which we see that Carrie is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

The layout of the characters on the poster obviously suggests that Carrie (played by Claire Danes) will have to choose who she is more loyal to: Saul (Mandy Patinkin) or Brody (Damian Lewis)?

Earlier this month the Homeland season 3 trailer was released and offered up a huge amount of new information about the upcoming season. Notably, Brody had shaved his head and will be faced with several high-energy action sequences as he tries to take down some enemies.
Back in America, the trailer shows that Carrie is in a deep state of depression (surprise!). Her and Saul will have to testify at the CIA to help find out what happened during the season 2 finale when a terrorist attack took place on the headquarters.
Speaking to the press last week, Homeland‘s showrunners revealed that they had considered killing Brody at the end of season 2, but Showtime insisted that he survive through the season. This tells us that Brody’s death is imminent. Even though he’s an important and identifiable character, Showtime will have to accept that his death is a necessary part of the show’s life moving forward.
Homeland season 3 premieres Sunday, September 29 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on Showtime.
