Last night’s Homeland season 3 episode included numerous twists and turns, and in a first look at next week’s story we see Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) taking the fall for one of the major events.

As previewed in the trailer which aired at end of Homeland season 3, episode 6 last night, a security camera next door to Javadi’s ex-wife’s home captured Quinn entering the house where the double murder took place.

In this just-released episode 7 preview, Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) comes to Quinn’s house and tells him about the murder. Quinn plays dumb and asks if Adal wants him to look into the case, at which point the latter presents him with the photographic evidence of his entry. Adal says that Quinn is the lead suspect in the case, and he hopes “they nail your ass to the wall.”

Viewers know that it was Javadi who murdered his ex-wife and the nanny, but Quinn has to keep it a secret because he and Saul are working quietly to capture the 12/12 terrorist mastermind. At the end of last night’s episode we saw Saul give Javadi a hard punch in the face for his actions, but the trailer for episode 7 makes it look like Saul won’t be rushing to announce the capture to the public anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Senator Lockhart is closing in on getting the CIA Director job. Saul probably still wants to keep it and will use the Javadi capture as his ticket to score the permanent job.

Homeland season 3, episode 7 “Gerontion” airs Sunday, November 10 at 9 p.m. EPT on Showtime. Check out our Homeland recap to see what happened last night. At the same link you’ll find the aforementioned trailer.
