In the first scene to be released from Homeland season 3, episode 11, Saul is updating the CIA on his play with Brody.

Numerous people are gathered in a conference room – including Quinn and Dar Adal – when Saul shares several bits of information about the big mission. “Brody’s job is to position himself in direct contact with” the leader of the Revolutionary Guard (Javadi’s boss), Saul explains before revealing that Brody will kill him via a cyanide needle.

In the clip Quinn asks how the two will come face to face, and Saul seems confident that Javadi’s boss will want to speak to him directly. This is one of the most important bets Saul is making for this to be a successful operation. He’ll have to chew more of his lucky gum to make sure it happens.

Homeland season 3, episode 11 is the penultimate episode this year and will surely be another intense storyline as we watch Brody attempt to secure Saul’s position as CIA director. The synopsis for the episode reads, “Brody’s loyalty to the mission wavers when he meets a ghost from his past. Meanwhile, Lockhart’s confirmation looms; and Saul stares into the precipice between success and failure.”
