The cast has been set for Disney+’s upcoming Home Alone reboot — and it features a few familiar faces!

In case you missed it, Disney+ will soon be bringing you a reboot of the family holiday classic, Home Alone. Now, it looks like the reboot has finally found its star.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jojo Rabbit star Archie Yates has officially nabbed the leading role in the upcoming reboot.

Yates isn’t the only one who’s joined the cast of the Disney+ original.

The young breakout star will be joined by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper, and Deadpool 2’s Rob Delaney.

Behind the scenes, Dirty Grandpa helmer Dan Mazer will serve as the movie’s director, while Saturday Night Live writers Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell will serve as screenwriters on the project.

So how similar will the reboot be to the original movie starring Macaulay Culkin that 90s kids grew up loving?

Interestingly, it doesn’t sound as though those involved with the project are looking to remake the original. In fact, according to THR, sources close to the project say that it’s “being labeled Home Alone due to the similarities in concept, but in execution the project will have another title.”

Though we’re sure many will argue that this is one reboot we don’t need, it’ll be interesting to see how the new Disney+ take on the story sets itself apart from the original.

There’s currently no word on when we can expect the Home Alone reboot to premiere via Disney+
