The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey‘s Extended Edition arrives on DVD and Blu-ray November 5, and to celebrate we’ve teamed up with Warner Bros. to give away three copies!

Fans of The Lord of the Rings trilogy are no strangers to Peter Jackson’s extended editions. Each film in the original Tolkien adaptation series saw an extended cut hit store shelves, and the case is no different for The Hobbit three-parter.

An Unexpected Journey’s Extended Edition includes 13 minutes of footage added to the final cut. In addition, the set boasts a whopping nine hours of bonus footage not seen with the film’s original home entertainment release earlier this year.

The all-new bonus material includes commentary with Peter Jackson and screenwriter Philippa Boyen as well as something called The Appendices described as “A multi-part chronological history of the filming of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, covering pre-production in the various departments of the film in the months leading up to the start of principal photography, the boot camp training for the main cast, the work done on set chronologically through the three shooting blocks and in the world of its digital effects.”
