A handful of new stills from two upcoming projects appeared online today.

First, in EW’s San Diego Comic-Con preview issue a new photo from The Hobbit finale The Battle of Five Armies debuted. The still depicts Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and Bard (Luke Evans) looking up at something that has the former appearing worried.

The official synopsis for the last film in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy teases the meaning of the movie’s title. “Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.”

Also today the first two photos from the upcoming adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps starring Jack Black were released. The first photo depicts Black with co-stars Odeya Rush and Dylan Minnette. In the film, Black plays a fictional version of the series author. The film hits theaters August 2015.

More details about The Hobbit will emerge next week when the cast and crew descend upon San Diego Comic-Con. A new trailer is expected to premiere at the same time (or at least we think so. Jackson recently said that he sent one to Warner Bros.).

There’s also a chance that a trailer for Goosebumps will be appearing as well. Stay tuned!
