If you weren’t at Comic-Con, you might not be aware that Heroes: Reborn launched a web series that serves as a prequel. Now the entire series is available on their mobile app.

At Comic-Con Heroes: Reborn creator Tim Kring announced that there was going to be a mobile app for the show, and that app will contain games, videos, and other features. One of those features is a web series that will take you through the 5 years that happened between the end of Heroes and the premiere of Heroes: Reborn.

Six episodes long, this prequel is titled Dark Matters and is now available for streaming on the app in its entirety. You can find the Heroes app on Apple’s App Store as well as Google Play for Android.

What is the ‘Heroes: Reborn’ prequel about?

Dark Matters‘ timeline begins the day Claire Bennet revealed to the world that she had powers. Her video sparked a movement where other people with powers began videoing themselves attempting to show the world what they can do, and slowly the entire world was filled with people showing off their abilities.

Society started calling these people “Evos,” short for evolved humans, and Dark Matters follows the life of one particular Evo, Phoebe Fray. As Phoebe struggles to control and understand her powers she starts getting the unwanted attention of a very mysterious new company…

You might recognize her brother, Quentin, because his character is actually one of the main characters slated for Heroes:Reborn. Quentin, played by Henry Zebrowski, is the character that brings Noah back into the world of supernatural abilities.

So Dark Matters isn’t going to be just some random prequel, but it looks like it’s going to be fairly useful to know and watch before Heroes: Reborn premieres this fall!

‘Heroes: Reborn’
