The Oscar Award-winning film Her will be released on DVD/Blu-ray May 13 and today Hypable has an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from the film starring Joaquin Phoenix.

Her, directed by Spike Jonze, was nominated for Best Picture, Music – Original Score, Music – Original Song, Production Design and won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. The film garnered rave reviews when it hit theaters back in December 18, 2013.

Fans that may have missed Her when it hit limited theaters in late 2013 will definitely want to pick it up on DVD/Blu-ray when it hits store shelves next week. The inspiring film was written and directed by Spike Jonze, who took home the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

Her starred the incredible Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pratt and Bill Hader. This amazingly talented cast made up one of 2013’s best films and the Blu-ray should include some great special features.

Synopsis: Set in Los Angeles in the slight future, Her follows Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix), a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced operating system, which promises to be an intuitive and unique entity in its own right. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet “Samantha,” a bright, female voice (Scarlett Johansson) who is insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny. As her needs and desires grow, in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual love for each other.

Her was without a doubt one of 2013’s best films and is a must buy when it hits store shelves May 13, 2014.
