We now have our first real look at Hemlock Grove season 3, the final chapter, thanks to a brand new trailer for the Netflix Original show.

Hemlock Grove season 3 will be the show’s last, and you better believe it’s going to go out with a huge bang. And if the trailer is any indication, a lot of blood, too.

That said, the trailer comes with the following warning label: “The following trailer is restricted to fearless audiences only for general gory mayhem, human harvesting, supernatural impregnation, extraterrestrial damnation, and blood bank orgies.”

Welcome back to Hemlock Grove.

The trailer actually shows us a lot of footage of Hemlock Grove seasons 1 and 2. It recounts the story of the murders conducted by the vargulf, which were subsequently blamed on Shelley. It also reminds us of Roman’s struggles accepting his true nature as an upir, as well as Peter’s difficulty containing his own beastly ways.

Of the new footage, the first thing that jumps out at us is Shelley walking out of an official looking building (probably a courtroom), dressed in white — her mother’s signature color. Unfortunately, she’s quickly covered in red as someone from the crowd throws a bucket of blood on her.

Olivia develops a strange mark, Destiny seems to be in danger in just about every other shot, and Roman is looking darker and more depressed every second he’s on screen.

In fact, Roman is seeking forgiveness for something he’s about to do (are we sure his name isn’t Matt Murdock?), and since we know this season will be all about Roman and Peter trying to get Nadia back, we can only imagine what lengths he will go to in order to complete his mission.

And Peter is looking no better. He’s trying to figure out why his people are dying, but in the meantime he seems to be calling on his werewolf abilities more and more. Is he headed toward becoming vargulf himself?
