2016 is almost over, and good riddance! Dame Helen Mirren perfectly captures our feelings about this sh*t year in a hilarious “Christmas message.”

Helen Mirren, Will Smith and Naomie Harris all appeared on the British talkshow The Graham Norton Show to promote their new feel-good holiday movie Collateral Beauty.

On that occasion, Mirren — whose social awareness has been on point since she took down a sexist interviewer in 1975 — had a message for the world:

The video opens with a funny aside, in which Will Smith can’t resist pinching Norton’s ass and Helen Mirren immediately runs over to see if he’ll repeat the trick.

Then they go into the scripted message, for which Mirren pulls out her Queen Elizabeth impression in order to express the sentiment we can all agree with: That “2016 has been a big pile of sh**.”

With a little plug for Collateral Beauty, Mirren literally drops the mic and proclaims, “and that’s Helen, out!” We love it.

Collateral Beauty, which also stars Edward Norton, Jacob Latimer, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet and Michael Peña, is in cinemas starting on Boxing Day. It tells the bittersweet story of a man named Howard (Smith), whose world is falling apart after he lost his child.

He writes letters to the spirits of love, death and time, who — with a little help from Howard’s colleagues and a local acting troupe — appear in person to help him find ‘collateral beauty’ in the world around him.
