HBO is stepping up their coverage of Game of Thrones season 4 with an upcoming featurette and a new video from the set of the new season.

Though the premiere of Game of Thrones season 4 is still tantalizingly distant, HBO is getting viewers back into the world of Westeros with several new promotional features.

On Sunday, Feb. 9, the network will broadcast a new featurette called “Game of Thrones Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing.” The 15-minute piece will air at 8:45 p.m., and serve as a recap of recent events on the show. In addition, the featurette will offer a sneak peek at the exciting (and given the show’s track record, traumatizing) stories that will play out in Game of Thrones season 4.

According to HBO, the “Foreshadowing” will include “clips from upcoming episodes, behind-the-scenes-footage,” and interviews with the cast of Game of Thrones. In addition, members of the cast will also answer questions sent in by fans of the series.

In addition to the first full-length trailer for Game of Thrones season 4, HBO has also released a new “On the Set” video to give fans a glimpse at the scope and scale of the upcoming season.

The new featurette includes talking heads from several actors, including Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister,) Maisie Williams (Arya Stark,) and Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister.) The actors all express their enthusiasm for season 4.

“The scripts this season are by far my favorite,” Dinklage says. “Not just for me, but for all the characters.”

“They’ve introduced some new characters, some new cities, whole new plot elements,” adds executive producer Frank Doelger, “that taken together, surpass the success of the first three seasons brilliantly.”

Game of Thrones season 4 will premiere on Sunday, April 6 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
