It’s happening! The fan-favorite TV show The Comeback starring Lisa Kudrow is returning this fall on HBO!

I don’t wanna see that! Actually, we do! HBO, today, announced via press release that The Comeback will return to the network this fall with a limited six-episode run.

The Comeback ran for 1 season back in 2005 on HBO, and despite critical success, struggled to find its audience at the time. Fans have grown to love The Comeback since it was cancelled 10 years ago.

The press release also gave a synopsis of what Valerie will be up to this season:

When the comedy series THE COMEBACK returns as a new six-episode limited series this fall, exclusively on HBO, Valerie thinks she has it all figured out this time. She doesn’t. Scheduled to begin production in Los Angeles this month, the show was created by Michael Patrick King (Emmy® winner for HBO’s “Sex and the City”) and Lisa Kudrow, who will serve as executive producers along with producing partner Dan Bucatinsky (Emmy® winner for “Scandal”).

Lisa Kudrow also commented on the second-coming of Valerie:

“It was almost too fun play Valerie Cherish the first time around,” observes Lisa Kudrow. “I look forward to revisiting this resilient and ironically self-unaware character.”

Hypable recently posted an article outlining the many reasons The Comeback should be renewed for another season all these years later. Check that article out here.
