The highly anticipated HBO Max Gossip Girl reboot has found one of its leading roles in Emily Alyn Lind, who will be playing the character of Audrey.

Deadline reports that Emily Alyn Lind’s character Audrey is someone who has been in a long-term relationship and is beginning to wonder what more could be out there.

Emily Alyn Lind is the first actress confirmed for the Gossip Girl reboot, which was first announced in July of 2019. The series has a 10-episode order and will be produced by the team behind the original series — Joshua Safran, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

According to the initial report from Variety, the new Gossip Girl series, which will likewise be based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar, is an offshoot “set eight years after the original show’s finale and will follow a new generation of New York private school teens who are introduced to the social surveillance of the Gossip Girl site. The show will explore how much social media and the landscape of New York itself has changed in the intervening years.”

Emily Alyn Lyn has co-starred on the Facebook Watch/Blumhouse series Sacred Lies and likewise played Ariel Braeden on CBS’ Code Black, initially as a recurring before getting promoted to series regular at the start of season 3.

Before that, Lind played young Amanda Clarke on ABC’s Revenge. She’s had a few minor roles in films as well. She co-stars in Netflix’s The Babysitter franchise and co-starred in Doctor Sleep.

The original Gossip Girl ran from 2007 to 2012 and starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chance Crawford, Ed Westwick, Kelly Rutherford, and Matthew Settle. The original series’ Kristen Bell will be returning as the narrator. However, no other original cast members have been announced as returning to the show, though series creator Joshua Safran has said that he’d love for all of them to make an appearance.
