Original Story (8/18/21):

HBO Max’s Pretty Little Liars reboot has found two more of its stars.

According to Deadline, actors Malia Pyles and Zaria have both officially signed on to star in the upcoming Pretty Little Liars reboot currently in development at HBO Max.

The forthcoming reboot centers on an entirely new set of Little Liars who reside miles away from Rosewood in the blue-collar town of Millwood. 20 years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the town apart.

Now, in the present day, a group of desperate teenage girls find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant who’s looking to make them pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago— in addition to paying for their own sins.

For her part, Zaria is set to take on the role of Faran. Described as poised and disciplined, Taran is a ballet dancer who longs to escape the small town of Millwood where the newest PLL reboot takes place. And while she’s one of the many who find themselves tormented by the mysterious A, A isn’t the only one giving Faran a hard time.

Meanwhile, Pyles will take on the role of Minnie, who also happens to be the youngest of the titular Liars. Minnie is a survivor of childhood drama who prefers to spend her spare time in a virtual world. Despite her struggles, the synopsis for her character stresses that she’s “more than capable of taking on the dark forces of Millwood.”

Pyles and Zaria join previously announced cast members Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco, who were the first to sign on to star in the upcoming spinoff on July 2.

Chandler Kinney (Zombies 2) will take on the role of Tabby in the upcoming Pretty Little Liars reboot. An aspiring director and a horror movie buff, Tabby, like the rest of the Liars is hiding a secret.

Finally, Maia Reficco (Strangers) will play Noa— a striving, sardonic track star working hard to get her life back to normal after a summer spent in juvenile detention.

Behind the camera, the HBO Max series hails from Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and fellow
CAOS vet Lindsay Calhoon Bring.

Lisa Soper, who also previously worked with Aguirre-Sacasa and Bring on Sabrina will serve as director on the first two episodes of the series.

Production on Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is set to kick off later this summer out in New York.

Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see the Pretty Little Liars reboot debut via HBO Max.
