Great news, Gossip Girl fans— season 2 is officially on the horizon at HBO Max.

On Thursday (September 9), HBO Max revealed that it has officially renewed its Gossip Girl reboot for a season 2.

News of the renewal order comes amidst a break between the first and second part of the reboot’s first season, and ahead of its highly anticipated return with all new episodes to HBO Max in November.

“You’ll want to keep your phone close, I won’t be gone for long,” tweeted the series’ official twitter account with regards to today’s exciting news. “Season 1 continues this fall, with season 2 to follow.”

Based on the best selling book series by Cecily von Ziegesar, as well as the original CW adaptation of the same name, the HBO Max reboot is spearheaded by Joshua Safran, who serves as both showrunner and writer.

The first season of the series finds series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, Savannah Lee Smith, Todd Almond, Adam Chanler-Berat, Johnathan Fernandez, and Jason Gotay navigating the cutthroat world of New York City’s Upper East Side elite while Gossip Girl watches from the shadows, threatening to keep them all in line by holding secrets over their heads.

The first half of season 1 is available to stream right now on HBO Max, with new episodes set to begin airing in November. Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see Gossip Girl season 2 debut.
