HBO has confirmed that it was the subject of a cyber attack by hackers after Game of Thrones episodes.

Similar to the attack on Netflix, the cyber attack was focused on getting episodes from the network. They then released the content that was taken and put it online for all to see.

It’s not clear whether or not they actually got any Game of Thrones episodes, but they did appear to get the script for next week’s episode. Along with that, they reportedly nabbed episodes of Ballers and Room 104. The hackers reportedly stole 1.5. terabytes of data from HBO.

The network released a statement to Entertainment Weekly stating, “HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information. We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms. Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold.”

EW also reports that the hackers sent out an email to reporters saying, “Hi to all mankind. The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. What’s its name? Oh I forget to tell. Its HBO and Game of Thrones……!!!!!! You are lucky to be the first pioneers to witness and download the leak. Enjoy it & spread the words. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. HBO is falling.”
