A trailer for Little Italy, a new, romantic comedy starring Hayden Christensen and Emma Roberts, has dropped, and it is utterly adorable.

With movies like Crazy Rich Asians and Set It Up finding popularity, it really seems like Hollywood is trying to bring back romantic comedies, which we are more than excited for. Following that trend, a trailer for another new romcom, Little Italy has hit the internet, and it’s giving us some serious 2000s romantic comedy vibes.

Little Italy stars Hayden Christensen and Emma Roberts, and tells the story of a young woman named Nikki (Roberts) who returns to her home in Little Italy and falls in love with Leo (Christensen). Leo and Nikki must not only navigate the early days of their blossoming romance, but they must also navigate the tricky waters of a family feud between their parents’ competing pizza restaurants.

The trailer promises a cute, feel-good story, and a sweet romantic comedy that has a bit of a fresh feel and a bit of a 2000s throwback feel with its light storytelling and breezy love story. Plus, we’re all on board for any movie that includes this much pizza in it.

While Emma Roberts has been rocking the house in shows like Scream Queens and American Horror Story, it is a bit surprising to see Hayden Christensen playing her leading man. After Christensen’s run as Anakin Skywalker on Star Wars Episodes II and III, he hasn’t been in the public eye much (though he has still been working pretty consistently since that time). It will be very interesting to see how audiences respond to Christensen in this role, as well as his on-screen chemistry with Emma Roberts.

Of course, Roberts and Christensen are only two small parts of the cast. They have also wrangled some pretty impressive talent to round out the characters in Little Italy with iconic actors like Jane Seymour, Alyssa Milano, and Andrea Martin.

We’re so excited to see Hollywood begin to lean back into romantic comedies with movies like Set It Up and now Little Italy, and we hope that a lot of creative, diverse stories are headed our way soon. Little Italy will release in select theaters and on demand on September 21.
