It looks like Echo may be the next Marvel superhero to score her own limited series over at Disney+!

Marvel’s Hawkeye limited series has yet to premiere, but it’s looking like Disney+ is already preparing to shine a spotlight on one of the characters the series will introduce us to.

According to Deadline, Disney+ is currently in the early stages of developing a Hawkeye spinoff series that would center around Echo.

In the comics, Echo is a deaf, Native American superhero whose real name is Maya Lopez. Her power lies in her ability to perfectly replicate her opponent’s fighting style. The comics have also found Echo crossing paths with the likes of Daredevil, Moon Knight, and the Avengers.

While the Echo series is still in the early stages of development, Disney+ and Marvel have already reportedly found its writers and executive producers for the project in Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen.

Marvel fans’ first taste of Echo will come with the streamer’s Hawkeye limited series.

The forthcoming series will find Jeremy Renner returning to reprise his role as the titular Avenger, and will follow along as he readies Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to pick up the Hawkeye mantle.

Actress Alaqua Cox has already been cast as Echo in the Hawkeye series, though the studios are keeping plot details surrounding her character close to the chest for now.

Hawkeye is set to debut via Disney+ sometime later this year.
