Two of the stars from Modern Family, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, will be giving their support for marriage equality by having dinner with two lucky winners, organised through The Human Rights Campaign.

One of the more prominent gay couples on TV, Mitch and Cam have charmed their viewers. Off screen, the actors have also managed to endear themselves to their audience by supporting the cause for marriage equality. Although one is straight and the other gay, both are great advocates and have helped out the Human Rights Campaign by setting up the “Win a Modern Dinner Date!”, which anyone can win by donating. The winner will then be flown to Los Angeles for a meal with the two stars.

The two actors talk on set about how you can enter and why you should participate, all with some good jokes thrown in as well, which you can watch below.

Their celebrity endorsement is an important step in this year’s 2012 elections, and their decision to aid HRC will not go unnoticed in such a political environment. President Chad Griffin of HRC tells how both Jesse and Eric are longtime allies of HRC’s campaign and that the company is “thrilled to have them once again speak out for marriage equality and help [them] in raising funds for the critical work [they] have to do in ensuring that all families are treated with dignity and respect.”
