Haters Back Off season 2 premieres next month, and we have lots of questions that need answers.
Last week, Miranda Sings revealed the premiere date of Haters Back Off season 2. The new episodes will be hitting Netflix on October 20.
Miranda revealed the news during a live stream on her YouTube channel. During the stream, Miranda ate a Froze Toes popsicle. When she had finished the treat, she held up the popsicle stick to reveal the October premiere date.

Haters Back Off season 1 left viewers with lots of questions. With less than a month to go before we see new episodes, we’re thinking of all the answers we want in Haters Back Off season 2.
Did Emily get into art school?
In Haters Back Off season 1, Emily applies to a residential art school. Now that other students at her public school know that Miranda is her sister, she wants to go somewhere else. Art helps her through her chaos-filled life. With a residential school, art might help her get away from some of that chaos.
When she presents her art to an admissions panel, however, she discovers that Miranda has covered all her paintings with glitter, pasta, and ribbons. Emily is scared and confused, but we don’t get to see what happens next. Did she find a way to explain these changes to the panel? Did she show them different pieces? Did they reject her or accept her?
The end of season 1 left Emily at a bus stop with her bags. Is she moving away to art school? Is she running away somewhere else?
What is happening with Bethany’s kidney?
When Bethany accidentally gets stabbed by Miranda during a magic trick in season 1, she ends up in the hospital. Though her stabbing injury is minor — only requiring a few stitches — it reveals something more serious. There is an abnormality on her kidney.
Later, we find out that she has kidney disease. She’s taking medication, which leaves her tired and weak. She might even need a transplant eventually. So where does this leave her in season 2?
In season 1, it also takes Bethany a long time to build up the courage to tell her family about her kidney disease. When she tells Emily, Emily doesn’t want to hear about another “imaginary” ailment. She finally tells Miranda in a fit of rage and decides to leave when Miranda isn’t supportive.
In Haters Back Off season 2, has Bethany really left the family? Have they become more supportive in her time of need? I want to know where this very real illness has left her.
Do Miranda and her family members make up?
Miranda burned a lot of bridges at the end of season 1. She called her mom, who had just been diagnosed with kidney disease, selfish for missing her performance. She ruined her sister Emily’s paintings, and potentially ruined Emily’s chances of going to art school. She fired her uncle, who had been her manager since the very start of her career.
When Miranda left her performance at the end of season 1, none of them were there to support her. She had just been humiliated on stage by someone she liked, and she had to walk home alone in the rain.
When Haters Back Off season 2 picks up, where does that leave their relationships? Emily and Bethany have both left the house, or at least threatened to. Do they come back to make up with Miranda? Does she rehire her uncle? I want to know how — and if — this atypical family comes together again.
Does Patrick forgive Miranda?
Miranda didn’t only burn bridges with her family members in season 1, she also burns Patrick. Patrick has liked Miranda for a long time. He brings her Froze Toes popsicles every day, and takes the popsicle sticks home with him to add to a piece of art he is creating in his bedroom.
When Miranda needs help with her float for a local parade, Patrick is quick to step up. At the parade, they have a hot and steamy moment where Miranda kisses him and finally agrees to go on a date with him. Patrick begins making elaborate plans for their date, wanting to impress Miranda.
Instead of showing Patrick appreciation for his efforts, Miranda starts flirting with Owen. She stands up Patrick on their date, and tells Patrick that she’s too famous to date someone like him. When she rejects him, Patrick gets upset. He tears down his Froze Toes artwork in one of the most emotional scenes of the season.
When we see them again in season 2, will Patrick forgive Miranda for what she did? Will they make up and become friends again? Will they finally go on that date and become more? I need to know!
Where my baes at?
Or, rather, where are Miranda’s baes at? On YouTube, Miranda has tons of romantic interests that she refers to as her baes. Though they’re not always on the same page as her — or even willing to be romantically engaged with her — Miranda has always had a good love interest.
In Haters Back Off, Miranda has been involved with Patrick and Owen. I’m still hoping to see where her romance with Patrick goes, but what about her YouTube baes? Will we ever see Tyler Oakley or Joey Graceffa? Will Miranda mention them in her videos? I hope so!
Speaking of YouTube baes, what about Miranda’s YouTube career? Her career is her greatest bae, after all. Haters Back Off has shown one of her videos getting upwards of 100,000 views. Where does she go from here?
I know the show is about Miranda’s backstory and non-YouTube life, but I want to keep seeing glimpses of her online presence. The internet is what has made Miranda so great. In season 2, I hope we keep getting to see that greatness and all the rest of Miranda’s wild life.
