Apple TV+ original series The Morning Show is gearing up to welcome Hasan Minhaj to its star-studded cast.

According to Deadline, Patriot Act host Hasan Minhaj has joined the cast of The Morning Show at Apple TV+.

Specifically, the comedian has joined the cast of season 2 in a recurring role.

When The Morning Show season 2 debuts, viewers will be introduced to Minhaj’s Eric. Described as “charismatic” and “a rising star,” Eric will be the newest member to join the team at the station.

Shortly after news broke, Minhaj took to Instagram to share the good news with fans far and wide.

“A new chapter. Can’t wait for y’all to see the new season,” he wrote in the caption of his post.

Other newcomers who are also gearing up to join the cast come season 2 include Greta Lee and Ruairi O’Connor, who signed on for the series’ second season in early October.

Like Minhaj, both Lee and O’Connor have joined the cast in series regular roles.

In season 2, Lee will play Stella Bak— an ambitious leader of an online media company that caters to millennial and gen z audiences. Meanwhile, O’Connor will play Ty Fitzgerald, a charismatic and savvy YouTube star.

Hasan Minhaj, Greta Lee and Ruairi O’Connor join a star-studded cast of returning actors which includes the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Bel Powley, Karen Pittman, and Desean Terry, all of whom have signed on to reprise their season 1 roles.
