Big news for One Direction fans! Harry Styles will debut his first solo music and performance on Saturday Night Live in April!

Take a deep breath, Directioners.

Seemingly out of nowhere, SNL announced today that Harry Styles will in fact perform his first solo music on Saturday Night Live on April 15. Tonight Show host and SNL alum Jimmy Fallon will host the episode, as previously reported.

If that weren’t exciting enough, it was also announced that Harry Styles will release his debut solo single on April 7. No title or details about the song have been released. However, a cryptic video for the new music aired during NBC’s The Voice. Check it out below:

Fans were well aware of various solo music projects from the members of One Direction. Recently, Niall Horan found success with his single “This Town.” Of course, Zayn found chart and critical success with his album release and subsequent singles from Mind of Mine in 2016. Styles himself has kept a somewhat low profile since the dissemination of One Direction a few years ago.

Styles’ performance on SNL will be the first to be aired live coast-to-coast in the United States during Saturday Night Live. It was recently announced that the late night comedy show will air its final four episodes of the season live across all time zones in the United States beginning with Jimmy Fallon and Harry Styles on April 15.

Styles will be featured in the new Christopher Nolan movie Dunkirk, slated for release in July of this year. With a new single, and surely a new album and tour not far behind, it looks like Harry Styles is setting himself up for a very busy summer and rest of 2017 and beyond.
