Harry Styles is gearing up to join Florence Pugh and Chris Pine in Olivia Wilde’s next directorial venture.

According to Deadline, recording artist Harry Styles has officially joined the cast of Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling.

Styles may best be knowing for his singing chops, but the former One Direction frontman is no stranger to the big screen. Previously, Styles had a small role in director Christopher Nolan’s war drama, Dunkirk.

That being said, it definitely seems as though Styles might be gearing up to take on a much bigger part in Don’t Worry Darling. The Fine Line crooner is said to be taking on a role originally set to be played by Shia LaBeouf.

LaBeouf, in turn, ended up having to depart from the project doe to a scheduling conflict.

He joins previously announced cast members Florence Pugh (Little Women) and Chris Pine (Wonder Woman 1989), both of whom signed on to star in the film earlier this year.

In addition to serving as director, Wilde is also set to co-star in the film, where she’s taking on a supporting role.

Others involved behind the scenes on the film include Kate Silberman, who wrote the screenplay based on a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke, as well as Catherine Hardwicke, who is executive producing.

Described as a thriller, Don’t Worry Darling is set in the 1950s in the California desert, and centers around an isolated, utopian community.

Unfortunately, specific plot details for the film are being kept firmly under wraps for now. Also shrouded in secrecy are details for specific characters, which means we’ll have to sit tight while we wait on more information with regards to who Harry Styles will be playing in the film.

Currently, there’s no word with regards to when we can expect Don’t Worry, Darling to hit the big screen.
